At stand B-3130, we present solutions from the early idea to the finished product, as well as maintenance that contributes to extended lifespan. Technical presentations (TECH TALKS) on selected technologies will be held at our stand. The content will be announced via our
website, at the stand, and through OTD’s own media channels.

Norway’s largest industries, energy and maritime gather in Bergen.

We will present technology and expertise to strengthen maritime sector and to improve the production of the world’s cleanest oil, gas and renewable energy.

At the same time, Norwegian sustainability targets towards 2030, and further towards 2050, will require enormous measures from the industry to reduce CO2 emissions.
These important environmental goals can only be met in two ways. One scenario is a complete halt to further exploration on the Norwegian continental shelf, and thus a halt in Norwegian oil & gas production by 2050. Such a scenario is difficult to imagine if the world in the foreseeable future will need a secure and stable supply of energy. Norway today plays a decisive role for energy security in Europe.

The second scenario, what we believe to be the “solution”, is to adopt existing more sustainability-friendly technologies/products, as well as intensify further investment in carbon capture and the greener solutions of the future.

We at Biesterfeld Norge AS have an overarching goal of contributing to the green transition by informing about and making the more sustainable solutions known and available to the industry. There are more sustainable alternatives, for most known industrial applications, where the industry has not yet adopted these.

We believe it is possible to develop the Norwegian oil & gas industry towards climate neutrality. This happens when the industry adopts the more sustainable technologies available, while at the same time opens to explore the greener technologies we develop for tomorrow’s applications.

In a world with increasing climate change, the industry itself must take responsibility, to show the right way forward towards a more sustainable future. Sustainability can mean many things in our industry. The choice of raw materials, the CO2 footprint, circularity, the quality of the product,
availability, support, the lifetime of a component (LCA), local or decentralized production are all
important factors that contribute to the level of sustainability.
